Sir Elliott was admitted to practice in Barbados in 1962 after completing his studies as a Barrister-at-Law in Middle Temple in England in 1961. In 1980, he was appointed Queen's Counsel. From 1995 to 1998, he served as Attorney-General in Bermuda. Sir Elliott was appointed to the Court of Appeal of Belize in 1999, sitting as its President from 2004 -2010 and a Justice of Appeal in the Cayman Islands from 2005 until 2015. He served as President of the Court of Appeal of Turks & Caicos (appointed to the Court in 2001 and appointed President in 2017) until 2021.
Sir Elliott has considerable experience in the areas of Judicial Review, Election Petitions, Defamation, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Tax Law, Anti-Money Laundering, Recovering losses from Financial Fraud, Economic Crime and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He has also been admitted to practice law in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Dominica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
